Trail course foliage

I love the newer trend with trail courses where there is a lot more than gates, bridges and logs put into the design.  If you have been able to watch any of the links I have posted, I hope you noticed all the plants.

Summer shows are very easy to accommodate: Large and small potted plants are usually easy to round up and cheap to buy. However during the winter its a lot harder to keep plants alive. Here is an easy and cheap way to not loose the foliage in your winter shows or practice.

All of my supplies were purchased at the dollar store.  All figures together, each cost $3.50.

Supplies needed:

Fake flowers and or leaves
Plastic cemetery vase with spike
Floral support foam

First thing is to squish the foam down inside the spiked vase

All that is left is to stick the floral in the vase. I like to put 2 groups of flowers or a combination of flowers and leaves together so it looks fuller and bigger.

Here are the 4 vase bouquets I created. What's great is that the flower selection changes with each season at the store, and I love both the loud colored summer flower bouquets and now these fall colors.

The part I like the best about these is that they are very user friendly. The spike at the bottom of the vase easily sticks into the ground whether it be grass or in the arena. And when I'm all done I store them in a plastic bin.
