County Horse Show Information 2013
When: Tuesday, August 6th
Where: Spanish Fork Fairgrounds - all trailers must park in the back
Sign Up: 8am, Registration is $10
Opening ceremonies, introduction of judges & Test: 8:30am
Lindon 4H groups: In charge of tests and scores
South 4H groups: In charge of speed events
Spanish Fork 4H groups: In charge of judged events - Trail & Showmanship patterns posted at bottom of page
Special Note about the Trail courses.
Trail courses will be set up and ready before sign ups begin Tuesday morning. This courtesy is being extended so 4H participants and their leaders or parents can walk the course on foot. Absolutely no horses allowed inside the arenas containing trail equipment. Any offenders who bring their horse into the arena will be disqualified from their trail class. This includes riding or leading a horse, again - no horses allowed in the arenas with trail equipment.
Once the test begins, the free time to walk the trail course is closed.
When entering the arena to do your trail course you will notice a starting line designated by 2 cones. The judges will not begin judging you until you pass between those cones.
Any questions you have about the trail course can be directed to the judges after they are introduced to everyone Tuesday morning.
County Show Awards Picnic
When: Wednesday, August 7th 6pm
Where: Spanish Fork Library Park - 100 South Main Street
Bring chairs or blankets to sit on the grass
Certificates and awards will be handed out.
Food will be a pot luck - listen for assignments at the horse show
